In response to the pandemic, in 2021 CollegeBoard has committed to making AP exams as accessible as possible to students in variety of situations (school is online only, in a hybrid system, in-person, etc.). So, it is important to know what changes are being made and what the impacts are on students worldwide. This post will walk through some of the most significant changes.

Each school will decide which administration their students will participate in.
Digital Exams
It is important to note that paper exams will start based on local times while digital exams will start at the same time worldwide (12pm EDT & 4pm EDT). Additionally, students will need to meet certain technology requirements – these will be sent out by Collegeboard in early March.
Students should note that digital exams will consist of questions that can’t be looked up online. So, the focus for most subjects will be on comprehension and interpretation, both of which rely on students understanding the course content.
