Duke graduate, passionate tutor and mentor, and aspiring doctor
Abena Antobre grew up in Aurora, Colorado. After graduating from high school, she went on to attend Duke University. Abena graduated in 2021, with distinction in biology, a second major in global health, and a minor in chemistry. Abena was also on the pre-med track. During her time at Duke she participated in research, tutored for the SATs, and provided college advising for local Aurora students. At this time, Abena became passionate about helping students succeed academically and making college more accessible for first-generation/low-income students. After moving back to Aurora post-graduation, Abena worked as a dialysis technician. She hopes to one day matriculate to medical school and become a physician.
