Liam Leasure graduated with Bachelor’s degrees in Math and Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder. He has always had a passion for math which he has nurtured through participating in math competitions during much of his youth, self studying advanced material, and taking as many graduate level math courses as he could during his four years at CU. He discovered his passion for teaching by leading study groups and developing educational material for CU while working toward his degree. Rather than being a grueling exercise in crunching numbers and memorizing formulas, he prefers to think of math as “the art of learning”, encouraging students to see how engaging with the subject will give them problem solving skills that can be applied to just about anything that they are passionate about. When he is not thinking about, doing, or teaching math, Liam enjoys hiking, skiing, playing video games, riding motorcycles, and reading fiction.
