Maria Dubon grew up in San Francisco and graduated from Luther College with a degree in Chemistry and a minor in Applied Math. While at Luther, she worked as both a laboratory assistant and teaching assistant for various levels of chemistry courses. After college, Maria worked as a counselor for College Possible, a group focused on helping students navigate the college application process. Her cohort of 42 students saw a average ACT score increase of 27%. Maria has experience teaching students from a wide variety of backgrounds and educational needs, and recognizes the importance of finding learning strategies that fit the individual needs of each student. Maria loves hiking and backpacking, closely following the San Francisco Giants, and trying to keep her many plants alive.
