Micki O’Neill has recently returned to her home in Colorado, after years in Chicago, New York City, DC, and around the world. She first left Colorado to attend Georgetown University, where she graduated magna cum laude. In New York, she worked in investment banking at JP Morgan and then taught middle school math in Brooklyn. To bring these experiences together, she headed to the University of Chicago, where she pursued a joint Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Public Policy. At Chicago, she was named a Harris Scholar and a Siebel Scholar, both schools’ highest honors. After finishing graduate school, she worked in K-12 education in Chicago, where she eventually founded and led a grade 6-12 charter school in the city’s Far South side. Micki has also lived in Peru and Ghana and has travelled to more than 40 countries.
