Managing Director of Mindfish, Board Certified Cognitive Coach, Executive Function/Dyslexia Specialist and superstar tutor
Originally from Amherst, MA, Hailey graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina State University – ranked #1 in her department. As part of her studies, she completed glaciology research at the University of Alaska Southeast and taught and developed a new set of courses at North Carolina State University. After graduating, Hailey worked with several organizations to teach high school students at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Colorado, Boulder. With over 10 years of experience, Hailey specializes in working with neurodivergent students tutoring the ACT, SAT, GRE, math, physics, executive functioning, study skills, and remedial reading.
Hailey is Mindfish’s resident accommodations expert. She helps families to navigate the process of getting accommodation in school and on standardized tests. Hailey also completes assistive technology consultations for students with learning difficulties.
As an educator with double deficit dyslexia and auditory processing disorder, Hailey is intimately aware of the difficulties that face students with learning differences. As a 99th+ percentile test taker, she has learned countless strategies to compensate for her disabilities. During her K-12 education, Hailey completed years of special education classes and IEP meetings. Her dyslexia is a fundamental part of her identity, and therefore she has dedicated much of her education to understanding the neuropsychological underpinnings of students with learning disabilities. She knows how to leverage that research into unique study strategies for every student. Hailey is a Board Certified Cognitive Coach and has been trained to work with students with a variety of learning challenges, from dyslexia to autism to ADHD.
When Hailey isn’t at Mindfish, she is likely working on writing her first book, launching her podcast, or hanging out with her cats!
