Prior to teaming up with Mindfish, Aaron Thomas taught history/social studies for 20+ years in several renowned independent high schools across the American southwest, most recently at Colorado Academy in Denver. Over the years, in addition to his teaching duties, Aaron has served as an admission representative and college financial aid officer, and as a mentor, college advisor and coach to countless students. He worked as Director of Admissions and College Counselor for a top independent high school (Verde Valley School in AZ) and as Assistant Director of Admissions at Lewis and Clark College. As a standout multi-sport high school and collegiate athlete and a Truman Scholar, Aaron can speak the language of a wide range of today’s high school students to help them navigate their academic journeys is a meaningful, successful, and stress-free manner.
When Aaron is not working with students, he loves to read, work on his golf game, ride his hardtail mountain bike, play music, walk his mutt, Stella, and travel in search of new adventures with his family.
