Reading, Writing, and Literacy Tutoring
When we think of Reading, Writing, and Literacy skills, we may think of writing essays, learning vocabulary, reading academic texts, and learning the phonics to support early reading. Reading and writing skills are necessary for life-long learning, including students from kindergarten through college and adults. Literacy is the basis for acquiring new ideas and communicating what you know at school and who you are in the business realm.
Mindfish’s literacy tutoring aims to set goals with feedback from the teacher, parent, and student, then work consistently with the student to master concrete reading and writing skills. We recommend that literacy students start with our Initial Consultation and Planning program. In this, the tutor assesses the student’s skills and scaffolds steps toward reaching their language goals. As reading and writing become more complex at each level, we help kindergarteners through college students and adults become confident in their reading and writing skills.
