Executive Function Coaching
Deena Hymowitz grew up between Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, Canada and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Science and Psychology in 2019 from the University of British Columbia. Since graduating, she has worked as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for 3 years and an Executive Function Coach for over 6. She has worked in private practice and school settings throughout different life stages, supporting people all the way from middle school into high school, through university and young adulthood, into parenthood and even grandparenthood! She has worked with a multitude of diagnoses including, but not limited to, ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, and other beautifully non-linear brains. She believes in empowering students towards independence and cheerleading them to advocate for themselves. As a strong believer in consent-based learning, Deena knows that meaningful change happens when students have ownership over their learning process. She understands the importance of building lifelong systems, habits, and strategies that work WITH one’s brain, not against it. Outside of work, Deena loves cooking food from scratch, baking sourdough, brewing her own kombucha, embroidering photos, and traveling and learning about new places near and far (having visited 35 countries and lived in 3!).
