Erik Nati-Johnson grew up an avid reader in North Louisiana before moving south to attend Tulane University, where he received a B.S. in Environmental Biology and worked part-time as a tutor. After graduating, he sought adventure on the high seas and worked as a fisheries observer in the Pacific Northwest for a year before returning to Louisiana to pursue an M.S. in Marine and Environmental Biology at Nicholls State University. Within days of graduating, he moved to Boise to start a PhD and has been living there since. In his free time, Erik enjoys walking his dog, going to trivia nights, and exploring the beautiful Idaho landscapes.
