Lynzee Hoegger grew up near Seattle, Washington. She attended the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, studying Astrophysics and Earth & Planetary Exploration Technology and becoming the first Lead Scientist for the school’s Rover team. After some time working for a mission operations software startup in Hawai’i, she moved to Colorado to study Aerospace Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she focused on human spaceflight and satellite system design. During her time at the University of Colorado, she was a Teaching Facilitator for both a graduate- and an undergraduate-level course (Spacecraft Design and Aerospace Software), holding office hours to help students learn challenging topics. She has also interned at NASA JPL, working on a cost-analysis dashboard for early Earth Observation missions. On top of Lynzee’s passions for space and science, she also loves painting, baking, crocheting, hiking, ice skating, and learning musical instruments in her spare time.
