Nate Ycas has been an academic and test prep tutor for over ten years, since he graduated from the University of Maryland with a major in Biology. Since 2020, he has been in Boulder, working with students online and in-person in a variety of subjects, especially SAT/ACT prep, high school subject help, and preparing for the LSAT, GMAT, and GRE for adult learners.
Helping any student to understand a topic better is a very rewarding thing for Nate, and he has yet to get tired of tutoring after thousands of hours of sessions. He feels that this is mainly the case because, while tests and classes may come and go, the rewards of critical thinking, curiosity, and just plain learning are an enduring benefit in life.
Nate also is interested in linguistics and languages and spends free time in Boulder looking for good pastries, reading books, and yes, going outside.
