All of the ACT test information in the following chart is available piecemeal on www.act.org, but the site it somewhat hard to navigate. We thought it would be handy to gather the most important ACT dates and deadlines in one place for you.

To summarize, the ACT is administered every 6 to 8 weeks during the school year. The deadline to register for each administration of the test is 5 weeks before the test deadline.
To register for the ACT, students must create a profile at https://www.act.org/content/act/en/register.html. Students need to upload a profile picture of themselves and spend 20 – 30 minutes providing information about their academic and personal backgrounds.
Did you miss the registration deadline for an upcoming ACT? Fear not! You can still sign up for the ACT before the late registration deadline; you’ll just have to pay an extra $25 fee for registering late.
Even if you miss the later registration deadline, you can still sign up to take the ACT on a standby basis. The ACT’s standby system is essentially a wait list. Students pay and extra fee ($49) with the hope of being assigned an extra seat and test booklet on test day.
