ACT and SAT Test Dates for 2025-2026

This is a listing of official exams coming up, administered by the ACT company or the College Board and eligible for submission to colleges and universities. Families must sign up for these exams directly through the testing companies; Mindfish is not permitted to register students for official exams. If you want to know more about which exam is best for you, check out this blog post, enroll in our practice test program, or consult with Mindfish directly.

2025-2026 ACT Test Dates

The ACT is typically offered seven times per year on Saturdays. Students with religious exceptions or extra time accommodations sometimes take the exam on a date not listed here.

All ACT exams are now in the “Enhanced” format, with significant changes from previous years. When possible, we recommend students opt for taking the ACT on paper and not in digital form, and to choose to take the optional science section, but not the writing section.

The test dates for the 2025-2026 school year are as follows:

  • September 6th, 2025
  • October 18th – MyACT Answer Key* Offered (formerly the TIR)
  • December 13th
  • February 14th, 2026
  • April 11th – MyACT Answer Key Offered
  • June 13th – MyACT Answer Key Offered
  • July 9th

2025-2026 SAT Test Dates

There are seven national dates for the digital SAT, and in Colorado every public school also administers one for all students, for free, on a school day in April. It’s usually a mid-month Tuesday or Wednesday.

The test dates for the 2025-2026 school year are as follows:

  • September 13th
  • October 4th
  • November 8th
  • December 6th
  • March 14th
  • [April school day test, exact dates to be determined by each public school in Colorado]
  • May 2nd
  • June 6th

Students who need to borrow a laptop computer to use for the digital SAT must submit their request to the College Board at least 30 days before the test date.

*On select dates, the MyACT Answer Key is offered for an additional fee, giving families a chance to review the entire exam question booklet. In previous years, this was called the Test Information Release (TIR) service. Families can also compare the correct answers to student responses. On test dates when this service is not available, students receive score reports but do not get to see any of the questions or passage material from test day. The SAT currently does not offer an equivalent service for any official test date.

To register for the ACT, please go to www.act.org.

To register for the SAT, please go to www.collegeboard.org.

Juniors in public high schools in Colorado are automatically registered for the April SAT.

For more information about registration, check out our SAT and ACT registration guides. If you are applying for accommodations on the SAT or ACT, make sure to apply early and check on the status of your application! Lastly, consider a test prep tutor to help maximize your score!

Good luck and happy testing!
