Excel on the GRE or the GMAT
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) are standardized tests commonly required for graduate school admissions in the U.S. While the GRE is used by most graduate programs, including law and business programs, the GMAT was originally designed for business schools but is now accepted by several graduate programs. It’s essential to research the specific requirements of the schools you’re targeting.
GRE vs. GMAT
Both tests have undergone recent redesigns. The GRE was significantly shortened, with the removal of the “analyze an argument” assignment, fewer questions overall and a testing time of less than two hours. The GMAT Focus is also a shorter test (less than 2.5 hours) and offers students the ability to take the sections in any order. The GMAT Focus also removed an essay section.
