Why is the ACT So Important?
The pressure is on when it comes to college entrance standardized testing. Your student’s ACT score helps college admissions counselors determine if they are a good fit for the college. Students can take the ACT seven times each year in September, October, December, February, April, June, and July. Four distinct sections – English, Math, Reading, Science, with an optional writing section – make up the ACT’s 1-36 scoring scale.
The ACT lasts for a total of 2 hours and 55 minutes. During this period, students must answer 75 questions in 45 minutes for the English section, 60 questions in 60 minutes for the Math Section, 40 questions in 35 minutes for the Reading section, and 40 questions in 35 minutes for the Science section. In addition to time management, students must become accustomed to the content, multiple-choice format, and high-pressure environment. To better support students and ensure they are test ready, Mindfish assists students with developing content fluency and mastering test-taking strategies through several mock ACT exams.
