Alya Sharbaugh graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Colorado Denver with her B.S. in Physics in May 2023 and is currently pursuing her M.S in Physics & Mathematics. Her thesis work involves methods for directly detecting dark matter as part of the SuperCDMS experiment. Beyond school, Alya served on the Society of Physics Students National Council where she organized numerous events, conferences, and outreach programs within the physics community. In her free time, Alya enjoys hiking, camping, and getting lost in her latest arts & crafts project.
