U. of Chicago graduate, world-class test prep tutor

Khaled Allen graduated with degrees in Psychology and International Studies from the University of Chicago in 2009. After a stint teaching English in South Korea, he moved to Boulder and joined the Mindfish team, where he has been teaching test prep for eight years and has the distinction of helping several students achieve perfect or near-perfect scores on the SAT and ACT. Khaled played a major role in developing Mindfish’s books, The Right Way to Take the SAT/ACT, and has contributed to many other curriculum resources at Mindfish over the years.

After returning to school, Khaled earned a BA in mathematics from CU Boulder in 2020. During that time, he was a learning assistant for Calc III at CU, and a learning assistant for Calc II at Front Range Community College, where he also wrote the solutions manual for a Calc II textbook in use by the Colorado Community College system.

He has been a professional software developer since 2014, and has worked for PopSockets and NASA on projects ranging from web apps to personal internet-of-things devices, and even a bit of LEGO robotics.

In his free time, he can be found polishing his piloting skills at airports up and down the Front Range and tinkering with his 3D printer.

“Khaled is a GREAT tutor and person.”
